This Privacy Policy describes how everywhereweran.com (the “Site”), operated for the book Everywhere We Ran by Mohd Naeem (“we,” “us”), handles information.
1. What we collect
- Basic site logs: When you visit, our host (Microsoft Azure / Cloudflare) may record standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps.
- Email you send us: If you email connect@everywhereweran.com, we receive the content of your message and your email address.
- Contact form: If you use the Contact form, we receive your name, email, optional organization, selected topic, and message. Submissions are sent through the EZ4YouTech platform API and emailed to Mohd Naeem. Cloudflare Turnstile helps reduce spam.
- No account required: The free sample does not require signup.
2. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technology as follows:
- Essential: CDN and security cookies needed to deliver the Site (for example Cloudflare / Azure). The Contact form also uses Cloudflare Turnstile.
- Optional analytics: If you choose Accept Analytics on the banner, we load Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID for this Site only) to understand page views and traffic. IP anonymization is enabled. We do not sell personal information. You can choose Essential Only to refuse analytics cookies.
Analytics is off until you accept. Clearing site data or asking us to reset consent removes that choice.
3. How we use information
We use information to operate and secure the Site, respond to rights or press inquiries, and improve content. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Who processes data for us
- Microsoft Azure — static website hosting
- Cloudflare — DNS, security for the domain, and Turnstile bot protection on the Contact form
- EZ4YouTech platform API — receives Contact form submissions and delivers email to Mohd Naeem
- Google Analytics — only if you accept optional analytics cookies
- Email providers — when you contact us by email or via the Contact form
5. Retention
Logs are kept as needed for security and operations. Emails are kept as needed to respond and for reasonable records.
6. Children
The Site is a book marketing site. The novel is aimed at ages 13+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Your choices
Email connect@everywhereweran.com to ask questions about this Policy or to request deletion of information you sent us, subject to legal obligations.
8. Changes
We may update this Policy. The effective date above will change when we do.
